Reflective practice should not be viewed as a threat
REFLECTIVE practice is not only essential in improving patient safety but can also provide "protection in the event of criticism of a doctor’s actions" and should not be viewed as a threat, says Dr John Holden of the MDDUS.
MDDUS seeks reintroduction of legal aid
MDDUS is urging the government to reintroduce legal aid for more categories of clinical negligence claims as a central part of wider reform to maintain access to justice for the most vulnerable claimants whilst reducing the burden on the NHS and court system of unjustified claims.
MDDUS addresses safe space recommendations
MDDUS has welcomed an influential call for the government to reconsider allowing NHS trusts and foundation trusts to conduct their own internal "safe space" investigations.
