AI in Dental Practice - balancing risks and opportunities

Taking place on Wednesday 2 December from 1.00pm to 4.00pm, this course is designed to explore the practical experience of AI and the professional and dentolegal risks and opportunities.

AI is here to stay. Many of you will already be embracing AI tools to help manage service delivery – for example through online triage, consultation notes and/or action workflows. You may also be using generative AI to help draft policies, processes, workflow illustrations and even complaints responses. Or using ambient AI tools to listen in to meetings so that transcriptions, summaries and action plans can be efficiently created and cascaded.

It may be that you are really positive about AI and actively involved in the local commissioning and testing of new tools or – conversely - you may be concerned about how these tools will impact your practice, and how you will manage their integration into existing systems of working.

This interactive course is designed to explore:

  • practical experience of AI - the tools being used, how and for what purpose (clinical and non-clinical)
  • the specific dentoolegal and professional risks associated with the identified range of uses
  • how you can work with your team to plan to mitigate the risks in practice

Attendees will leave feeling more informed and able to take ideas and challenges back to their teams for deeper discussion.
