Practices reminded of mask rules

  • Date: 24 January 2022

PRIMARY care practices are being reminded that face coverings must continue to be worn by staff and patients.

Anyone entering GP and dental practices must still wear a mask, despite the requirement being removed for other public places in England from January 27.

NHS bosses are urging practices to continue to encourage patients to wear a covering “to keep staff and other patients safe.” The rules also apply in optometrists and pharmacies.

Resources supporting the infection prevention control (IPC) guidance, including social media assets and information posters, are available to download from Public Health England’s Campaign Resource Centre.
