All trainee doctors found jobs

  • Date: 29 July 2015

ALL trainee doctors on a waiting list to find jobs have been allocated a place, the UK Foundation Programme Office has confirmed.

A record high total of 352 graduates were put on a reserve list when it was revealed last October that the Foundation Programme was oversubscribed for the fifth year in a row.

They were then allocated in batches in May and June, with the final applicants found a place this month. They will start in August.

UKFPO National Director Professor Derek Gallen said: “Recruitment to Foundation Programme 2015 saw the highest level of oversubscription to date and I’m delighted that all reserve list applicants have now been allocated.”

He urged trainees to ensure they have the necessary paperwork in place before starting work to prevent delays.
