Dentists contacted over missed CPD declarations

  • Date: 10 February 2014

THE GDC is contacting nearly 350 dentists who have failed to submit CPD portfolios for assessment.

Over 6,600 dentists have now come to the end of their 2009-2013 CPD cycle with 6,286 having made compliant declarations. The GDC will now be writing to the remaining registrants requesting that they submit their CPD portfolios for assessment and to verify their compliance.

CPD is a legal requirement and registrants had until midnight on 28 January 2014 to declare the hours that they had completed. Failure to submit required CPD can put GDC registration at risk.

Visit www.gdc-uk.org for more information on CPD including advice sheets and visit www.eGDC-uk.org to log hours using an eGDC account. Dentists can also get in touch at information@gdc-uk.org or phone 0845 222 4141.
