Don't forget

THE following changes to the national minimum wage take place from October 1:

  • The rate for workers aged 21 to 24 increases from £6.70 to £6.95 per hour
  • The rate for workers aged 18 to 20 increases from £5.30 to £5.55 per hour
  • The young workers rate (non-apprentices aged under 18 but above compulsory school age) increases from £3.87 to £4 per hour
  • The apprenticeship rate increases from £3.30 to £3.40 per hour

It is intended that both the national living wage and the national minimum wage will increase together in April each year.
