CHANGES are being made to the rate of National Minimum Wage. From October 1, the rates will be:
• 21 years and over – increase from £6.03 to £6.19
• 18–20 (and those 21 years and over doing accredited training) – remain at £4.98
• Young workers above compulsory school age but under 18 years – remain at £3.68
• Apprenticeship rate – increase from £2.60 to £2.65
