MDDUS can confirm that we will provide claims indemnity to our GP members (and delegated staff) for the administration of the flu and Covid-19 vaccines to practice staff for this and future years. Where other partners are indemnified by alternative medical defence organisations, this indemnity will be proportionate to the headcount of MDDUS members.
It is clearly important that the usual safety checks, which would be made for practice patients, are also in place for this type of employee vaccination and that documentation is made and communicated to the employee’s own GP (with appropriate consent in place).
