Free seminar: making the most of your GP contract…

GPs and practice managers are invited to attend free seminars being run next month in London and Birmingham by the legal firm Capsticks.

The seminars will be highly practical and will focus on (1) making the most out of your GP contract to help you run a successful and profitable practice, following the publication of the GP Forward View, and (2) hot employment law topics relevant to GPs and practice managers.

Sessions on the day will cover:

  • A secure foundation – the benefits of a robust partnership agreement
  • Making the most out of your contract through effective contract management, top tips on avoiding breaches, preparing for CQC inspection and using the Premises Costs Directions effectively
  • Avoiding and managing contractual and partnership disputes
  • An A-Z of hot employment law topics for GPs
  • Pensions.

Among external speakers will be Paul Conlan from GP Surveyors who will be talking about how to make effective use of the Premises Costs Directions. Alan Frame from the MDDUS will be talking about practical steps you can take to prepare for CQC inspections. In addition, Nick Brier, a Director at BHP Financial Planning, will be sharing his experience on pensions.

The sessions will feature lively debate along with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and to network with peers over coffee and lunch.

The London seminar will be held on Wednesday 6 July and the Birmingham seminar will be held on Tuesday 12 July. Both are free to attend and are CPD accredited.
