MDDUS has made three new appointments to its Board of Directors.
Ian Craig is an experienced financial services executive who, before retirement in early 2021, was a divisional director at the Nationwide Building Society. He previously held executive roles at Barclays and Bank of America.
Andrew McKee brings experience from a 35-year career in commercial insurance. He held a variety of senior underwriting and leadership roles culminating in being Chief Executive of two Lloyds Managing Agents. During his executive career he sat on the Boards of NRI (Nuclear Risk Insurers), LMG (London Market Group) and LMA (Lloyds Market Association).
Dr Joanna Bayley has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the Board, taking over from Margaret Mcphail who has stepped down after nine years.
Dr Bayley first joined the Board in 2017. She is a GP and chief executive of both the Gloucester GP Consortium and GDoc, the countywide GP provider in Gloucestershire. She is also a clinical associate to the Systems Transformation Group of NHS England. Dr Bayley was previously the Care Quality Commission's Medical Advisor on Urgent and Emergency Care, and medical director of Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust.
Commenting on the appointments Professor Iain Cameron, Chair, said: “I look forward to working with our new board members, and with Jo Bayley as my Vice-Chair, as MDDUS continues to support a growing membership of more than 65,000 medical, dental and related practitioners.
“The extensive knowledge and experience we hold at MDDUS, enhanced by our new colleagues’ skills, allows us to ensure that our members can count on us to be on their side now, and for years to come.”
