MDDUS is announcing a new partnership with law firm Capsticks that enables GP and practice manager members in England and Wales to access a free 20-minute legal consultation and ongoing discount rates on non-indemnity issues.
Medical defence organisation MDDUS has teamed up with specialist healthcare law firm Capsticks Solicitors LLP to provide GPs with a host of benefits as part of this new and invaluable service for members.
This additional benefit of MDDUS membership means that GPs and practice managers can now take advantage of up to twenty minutes of free business and corporate legal advice, as well as gaining access to Capsticks’ full range of practice and business legal services at specially discounted rates.
MDDUS Director of Development David Sturgeon said: “Our members already have access to expert medico-legal advice from our team of highly-skilled advisers and lawyers.
“We are delighted to work alongside Capsticks to ensure that our members’ needs will be enhanced further with access to advice on non-indemnity issues.
“GPs and practice managers will be able to call on Capsticks to provide legal advice on issues such as commercial and business issues, all types of property work, practice mergers and acquisitions, partnership agreements and disputes as well as primary care contracts. MDDUS members can also get advice in relation to CQC inspections and health and safety issues.
“Membership of MDDUS continues to provide a comprehensive range of benefits. We seek to evolve our products to keep pace with the changing market while remaining committed to providing a high-quality, responsive and personal service and championing the best interests of our members.”
Sam Hopkins is a Partner at Capsticks, and heads the firm’s GP legal support team. He added: “We are very excited to be working in partnership with MDDUS and look forward to supporting their GP and practice manager members with their non-indemnity legal issues during what is a particularly challenging time for GPs and practice managers.”
