Multidisciplinary team working: Managing systems and boundary risks

Taking place on Thursday, 14 September between 9.30am and 12pm, this course is aimed at anyone who plays a role within or in the management of MDT working in their practice (GPs, practice managers, ANPs, physiotherapists, paramedics or healthcare support workers)

The course will highlight the importance of team communication and understanding professional boundaries of individuals within the MDT team. We will also examine how MDT working can potentially increase risks in processes such as patient access, safe prescribing, safety netting and follow up. Attendees will participate in case discussions and explore practical tips to improve patient safety with MDT working in their practice.

This course will be led by Kay Louise Grant, MDDUS risk adviser.

Upon completion, a certificate detailing 2.5 hours of verifiable CPD will be provided by MDDUS to all attendees.

To take part in this workshop:

  • You must be able to access and join a Zoom meeting from whatever device you choose to use.
  • Participants require a PC or laptop which has either a webcam and microphone integrated (or attached). Alternatively delegates can use a tablet/phone (although some functionality may be unavailable and you may not be able to see all delegates).
  • Participants must be willing to share their names and webcam with other participants whilst attending the workshop.
