Managing data protection responsibilities

Over an interactive day, data controllers and those responsible for processing personal data in GP practice can learn practical advice on applying the principles of GDPR to daily practice

This interactive full day workshop will focus on how practices are meeting the requirements under the GDPR and Data Protection Act. As well as exploring practical application issues, the workshop will look at key areas such as understanding your personal information through data mapping, and undertaking a data impact assessment to understand your risks.

It will further explore the development of privacy notices and data privacy impact assessments, how to risk-assess new projects and ways of working which involve the use of personal data. There will also be an opportunity to reflect on how updated arrangements for managing subject access requests and identifying and reporting data security breaches are working in practice.

The workshop is aimed at GP partners and anyone who has a management responsibility for the processing of personal data in GP practice. It is open to both MDDUS members and non-members.
