Guide for public on Covid-19 testing

  • Date: 05 February 2021

A GUIDE to Covid-19 testing for patients and the public has been published by the Royal College of Pathologists.

The "user-friendly" guide covers the most widely used diagnostic tests for Covid-19, PCR and lateral flow, exploring their accuracy and when they should be used. It also provides an overview of antibody testing for Covid-19.

The guide is intended to help counter confusion about the types of testing and when they should be used.
