Ever popular MDDUS Practice Managers’ Conference returns to St Andrews

  • Date: 27 September 2017

MDDUS’ employment law team will be delivering a workshop on carrying out a disciplinary hearing as part of the ever popular MDDUS Practice Managers’ Conference taking place later this year.

The sell-out event is once again being held at the Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews on Thursday 30 November and Friday 1 December. Delegates attending the conference can enjoy informative, interactive workshops on a broad range of topics.

Carrying out a legally robust disciplinary hearing can be one of the most emotive and difficult tasks that a practice can face. Find out how you can minimise your practice risk in this area as MDDUS employment law advisers deliver an interactive training workshop which will include:

• Understanding your practice disciplinary policy and how to apply it

• The statutory and ACAS guidance you must comply with

• Common disciplinary pitfalls and how to avoid them.

Our employment law advisers will also be providing a masterclass around a tricky area of employment law - more details to be revealed at the conference.

Also back by popular demand at this year’s conference is the latest episode of our video series, Bleak Practice, which features a forgotten locum, out-of-date procedures, poor communication and the suggestion of an assault. It promises to be an entertaining way of learning key risk lessons in general practice. We look forward to seeing you there.
