THE MDDUS Practice Managers’ Conference has enjoyed another successful year for 2015.
The sell-out event at the Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews, attracted managers from across the UK who enjoyed a busy two-day schedule of informative and entertaining events as well as invaluable professional networking opportunities.
Chief executive Chris Kenny opened the conference on Thursday, November 26 with an introductory address acknowledging the crucial role managers play in the delivery of excellent patient care.
New for 2015 was the screening of the third instalment of our film series, Bleak Practice, which provided an entertaining way to learn key risk lessons in general practice.
The busy programme of risk masterclasses and interactive workshops covered a broad range of topics including financial risk, employment law, responding to complaints and helping clinicians reduce their risk. We also welcomed external speakers including Nicola Cotter from the General Medical Council, and GP and trainer Dr Malcolm Thomas.
The conference is held every 18 months to two years and updates about our next event will be posted here on our website and on Twitter @MDDUS_News.
