MDDUS dental members in Scotland can now take advantage of a great new service designed especially for dentists who are just starting out in their career.

Laura McCormick has accepted the new role of early practitioner adviser, providing recent graduates with free educational support and expert insight into working life. Ms McCormick is a practising dentist with experience as a VT adviser. She is also a coach and mentor for the Training Revision and Mentoring Support (TRaMS) programme.

MDDUS Head of Dental Division Aubrey Craig said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of Laura McCormick to our team at MDDUS. Beginning working life as a dentist after graduation can be a daunting prospect and we are confident that members will find this new role to be an invaluable resource.

“Laura has the experience and expertise to provide recent graduates with educational support, from assistance on what to expect from practising life to advice on choosing a job or help understanding associate agreements.”

Ms McCormick added: “I really look forward to working with recent graduates as they begin their careers and supporting them with the new challenges they face.”

This great new service is provided at no additional charge for MDDUS dental members who have graduated within the past five years.
