Gillian graduated with Distinction in 1997 from Napier University Edinburgh, with a BSc in Nursing and a Diploma in Nursing Studies (Adult). Following her first post in Edinburgh in surgical high dependency, Gillian completed post-graduate intensive care nursing studies at Royal Papworth and Addenbrookes hospital in 1998. She went on to gain a wealth of experience working as both a registered nurse and clinical nurse in a wide variety of critical care settings, both in the UK and Australia. She joined MDDUS in 2021.
