Practice Manager Workshops

A suite of topics tailored for managers in General Medical or Dental Practice.  Delegates are invited to attend all 7 days or select a range of individual days to suit their needs.

 

 

Assertiveness

Date: 21 February 2012 (10:00 - 16:00) THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL

Target Audience: Managers

Venue: MDDUS Glasgow Office

Content:

  • Recognising assertive, aggressive and passive behaviours
  • Understand your own behaviour 
  • Develop verbal and non-verbal assertiveness
  • Understand the tools required for effective situational assertiveness

Health and Safety: An Introduction

Date: 21 March 2012 - (10:00 - 16:00) - THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL

Target Audience: Managers

Venue: MDDUS Glasgow Office

This practical session will explore the basic health and safety issues in General Medical Practice.  The following will be covered in the workshop. 

  • Identify the most important areas in relation to health and safety within a general practice setting.
  • Consider how the Law affects your team and the duties imposed by the Law on everyone at work.
  • Consider your part in implementing and maintaining safe systems of work
  • Identify hazards in your workplace, and take effective precautions again them
  • Undertake a basic risk assessment.
