DENTAL professionals are being reminded they must pay their Annual Retention Fee by the end of July.
The General Dental Council is contacting all registrants to tell them they must make a payment by July 31 if they want to remain on the register. All dental care professionals must be registered with the GDC to work in the UK.
For dentists, the charge this year will be £438, dental care professionals – including dental nurses and dental technicians – pay £96 while dental specialists must pay £52. The GDC has warned dental professionals their registration will be at risk if they don’t pay the ARF. No payments will be accepted after July 31.
The ARF can be paid by cheque, credit card or direct debit by post, phone or online.
The GDC’s Head of Registration Gurvinder Soomal said: “We hope registrants will take advantage of our eGDC website at www.eGDC-uk.org. This not only allows them to pay their ARF but they can keep contact details up-to-date and manage their Continuing Professional Development hours.”
