HR and employment law helpline

The MDDUS in-house HR and Employment Law Advisory helpline is fully accessible during core hours for MDDUS members who are employers and Practice Managers within MDDUS group schemes. Outwith these times, an emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Members can access the service by telephone or email to discuss HR matters and for advice when drafting or amending employment related policies and procedures to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken. As the advice service is unlimited members can speak with the team regularly for updates and confirmation on areas of concern as well as during times of difficulty.

MDDUS members can contact the team for advice and best practice guidance on a wide range of issues including:

  • Absence problems
  • Discipline and grievances
  • Poor performance
  • Breaches of confidentiality
  • Contracts of employment

See the FAQs page for more information.

The MDDUS is the only UK defence organisation to offer members access to an in-house HR and Employment Law Advisory Team.
